Windmills of My Mind

Windmills of My Mind

Honestly, I feel refreshed. This author's life has not been easy, and her blog is very much worth reading. As a student, I'm inspired by her hard work and dedication. As a writer, I'm interested to read through blogs filled with the calm, metered passion of a woman who knows what she's doing. I read through her two most recent entries ("Things I Learned in 2006" and "Reba and the Food Stamps"); both are thick and worthwhile, perfect if you have a few good minutes to look for inspiration. I hope to see more great work from this author in the coming year!

It is a numeric life

It is a numeric life

When the most recent post "Condoms too big for Indian men?" caught my eye, I figured the site was more of a random advertisement than a serious blog. But don't be fooled. This blogger - a medical school librarian - takes the site (and numbers) very seriously. The blog itself was created in Oct. 2005, and since then this author has added seemingly random, but insightful facts to entertain and inform readers of the mathematical highlights in life. My favorites so far: "The math of life," "Santa Clause is Coming to Town," and "We have more TVs than people." I highly recommend using It is a numeric life as a resource for cocktail-party-stopping statistics.

So let's try this again...

I haven't posted in YEARS (almost). It's been since Feb. 2005, and it's almost Jan. 2007. That's alright, though. I'm back onto my quest to find good blogs. We'll see how many I can come up with during my senior semester of undergraduate studies. Don't forget to check out my blog, Blue-Stockings; you are always welcome!
